I got a life,job and priorities if I buy every flavor of the game I would have to sacrificed actual fun stuff like traveling,hardware,drinking with friends.
Because I have no friends to play it with and I think $20 is a bit steep for a fucking twin-stick shooter where I'll spend most of my time getting killed by idiot teammates.

The only broken dlc stuff I've seen is probably the laser rifle, the drones if you are soloing, and maybe the air strikes if you can use them properly. Most of it is like all that shitty Magika dlc, cosmetic armor and novelty/super situational weapons, or just alts of stuff you can unlock later on.

Exactly. I don't blame the Steam method. But then I'm also not surprised when PC games get delayed from weeks to years and most ports are shitty.
Aside from the easy to point out stuff like Batman or Asscreed (where they literally wrote not to give a shit about optimization), there's also "smaller" stuff like physics/sound not working properly in Fallout4 above 60FPS, or mouse sensitivity changing with higher FPS's in the latest CoD. It's clear a lot of devs just don't give a shit.
And that's because of piracy and Steam sales barely giving them profit compared to console sales. Even if Helldivers didn't sell only 1/20 on Steam relative to the PS4 version, even if it would sell the same ammount over an year's period, the profit would be much much lower since every PS4 copy is guaranteed to sell for 20$, while most Helldiver Steam sells will be made at 50%, 75%, 90% discounts. 5 Steam helldivers sales have the same value as 1 PS4 sale, if not less over the long run.
Yes it's good for costumers to get a game for cheap, but then you also get ignored or run into shitty optimization problems that shouldn't exist in the first place. Those who pay the most get the most attention.
