Curies is found in a weird ass place, and has a weak looking synth body, or Codsworth who while also having a well defined character never really is used for anything.
I guess it all boils down to the fact companions have 0 impact on the plot on the quests you are doing currently. Its even rare for them to speak up and it always feels awkward with npcs totally ignoring them.

The fact that EVERY TIME you talk to him in any capacity causes him to dump worthless radiant quests on you is beyond annoying and just shows you some slipshod programming. If I want to hire or dismiss you as a companion I shouldn't have to engage your stupid quests.
