The bosses were a snorefest, a lot of weapons weren't great, should've been more levels in the Inferno, and it wasn't as difficult. I enjoyed the more open levels and more vibrant artstyle, but ultimately I prefer Bayo 1, it feels more balanced and more challenging. Still a phenomenal game and better than most in the genre tho.

I feel as though the story and enemy design in Bayo 2 were worse overall than in the first.
The character design was pretty hit-or-miss too. Short-haired Bayonetta is a huge improvement, as was long-haired Jeanne. Weeb Rodan and young Balder are pretty nice as well.
Luka, Loki, and Aesir were otherwise underwhelming.I still think it's a fantastic game.
