About to buy this online. Is it really as good as advertised?
>>319565871
Yeah, only issue is that there's no chapter select so you need to fastforward to the choices for a different route.
Quite engaging.
You have to get used to slow as fuck text speed though.
yes it is. You'll have a bit of troubles to get the true ending by yourself though.
Either way, enjoy. Get ready for best characteror one of the best ones anyway
>>319565871
Ghost Tricks is good also.
>>319567203
how do you get the true ending? or should i just look up a guide?
>>319565871
Here's some advice:
Leave this thread now before someone spoils it for you
>>319567456
you have to get another ending first and then you have to take the path for a very specific ending, which if you reach without having completed the one requested for the true ending leaves you with a cliffhanger. I suggest you to use a guide only as your last resort when you start feeling like you're wasting your time
>>319565871
Yeah, but the girlfriend is the villain.
If you don't like this game, change your mind.
The black guy is the mastermind
June dies
Santa is Snake's brother
>>319567456
Basically, the game has 5 or so endings.
Three of them are obvious choices that you get by choosing certain options. After that, you must get a specific ending in a specific way that is kinda hinted at, but a bit obscure, and after THAT you do the similar choices and get the good ending.
I recommend only reading a guide if you fail to get to the 4th ending twice and are stumped.
Zero is a robot
So is Junpei
CLOVER IS ZERO
JUNPEI IS A DOG THAT WAS HYPNOTIZED INTO THINKING HE'S A HUMAN

>playing vlr
>phi route
>choose betray first to see just what happens
>all the stuff that follows
>holy shit, the game actually reacts to choices
>turns out it was required
>mfw
It's probably better than you expect. Get out before you get spoiled, everyone's just posting bullshit spoilers right now.
>>319565871
the last puzzle is literally just sudoku with sad music. other than that it's great
>>319565871
It's good but barely a game. It's a VN with couple puzzles inbetween.
I saw there was a couple of threads earlier today, did something happen?
>>319568439
I was sweating hardly there since you required to flip ds and my cartridge slot was a bit fucked.
>>319568275
Nigga spoiler that shit! I'm the anon you quoted and I just started playing VLR yesterday. I read the first two lines and stopped.
Lotus is an AI
Clover is infected with immortality and you need her blood to survive
There are two Akane's, the original and her daughter/clone from 17 years into the future
>>319568680
I tried not to spoil anything in the post except requirements.
>>319568724
>mfw I genuinely can't tell if these are old uchikoshi twists since I haven't played ever17
>>319568724
>There are two Akane's, the original and her daughter/clone from 17 years into the future
This is only true from the first timeline's perspective, one you become a time spirit your echoes reverberate to all versions of Akane, thus saving her life and reducing all other timelines in the universe but the one where she gets to live a happy life.

Yes and also you're a cat
>>319568724
Next your gonna tell me that Clover is Junpei's mom fuck off with your fake shit.
>>319569380
>Next your gonna tell me that Clover is Junpei's mom fuck off with your fake shit.
Well, she is in the sense that she's everybody's mother- since all the characters are just figments of her memory given form in an old woman's dream before death.
>>319569668
Is this never7? Never7 is the only one I never played. Fuck.
>Official art has her making a zero pose with her arms
>Box art has a 6 on it
MOTHERFUCKER
>>319567740
>very specific
it's literally the path you take if you pick the first option at every door choice
and accept a gift
the 'normal' ending is way more specific
there's a spoiler-free guide out there, gamefaqs with no pics I think
>>319570483
what official art?
>>319570651
>>319570750
are you sure that was intentional?
>>319571898
I'm gonna let you think about that
>play the game blind
>end up getting the same ending 3 different ways
Fuck.
>>319572132
doesn't the game grey out your previously selected choices though?
>>319572369
I know it greys out choices you've made before, but I don't remember how it handles technically different paths that lead to the same ending. For example, there are 6 ways to reach the sub ending. All of them involve choosing the same door at the end, but getting there involved different choices along the way. Also if they grey out the options like this, it would be pretty inconsistent because both the safe and true endings require choosing a door that always gives you a bad end when done on any of the other 4 branches that eventually lead to that door.
I finished Zero Escape the other day. Feels good knowing I don't need to suffer for years waiting for the next game.
It's very good, slow start but gets better, now get out of the thread before someone spoils it.
>>319565871
Incredibly overrated.
Not that it's a bad game or anything(It actually has the best story I've ever seen in a game and the escape rooms are pretty good)but the game goes incredibly slow and tedious in the beginning. Take the 'tutorial', for example. It stretches things out and over-emphasize the controls. It also sort of holds your hand through the wholedigital rootthing.Yes, you should get it. Don't let the fat fucks tell you otherwise.
>>319565871
Fuck yeah
