First one is kind of stupid but fun, the spaceship is kind of lame but the game's pretty solid.
KH2 is pretty fucking good, loved the spaceships and the combat and everything really, but I just couldn't get into the story of this one or the first one, it's too weird and I really didn't care that much back then, you could also give Chain of Memories a try, it's on GBA and I remember it being pretty damn nice.
Never played any of the other 20000 non KH3 games.

The first one is really heartwarming and good feely. Easy gameplay, but just a fun game with a killer soundtrack. Most of the other ones after that got more and more convoluted, and just jammed as much shit in them as they could unfortunately
a ride that's hard to put down once you get into it. expect boring level design, decent combat, great voice acting and sometimes great character animation, fantastic boss fights, stellar soundtracks, and a story that puts most shonen to shame in its ridiculousness.

The first game was pretty innocent Disney x Square Enix fanfiction with fun hack and slash gameplay. From there, it's fucking ridiculous Naruto-tier animu bullshit with the Disney worlds hardly mattering, albeit the combat remains fun. Overall, it's still worth your time and if you truly care about the story, the internet has done all the hard work sorting shit out and trying to make sense of it for you

A fun time. The first game is the best game in my opinion because it is the most complete. The levels are fun, the combat is simple but can get hard, the story is charming. KH II would be better if it had better levels that weren't just hallways.
Honestly I went into KH1 last summer expecting it to be pure and utter shit. I had heard it was fanfic tier shit writing and retarded babby push-one-button-to-win combat.
I came out the other side of DDD having played all the games in the series and loving every one.
I'd recommend playing KH2 and BBS on critical for your first playthrough if you want a challenge, it's what I did.
