There's too much market saturation for a Nintendo console. It's just a paywall to games that would sell much better on PC, and the marketing campaign could promote the simplicity of sharing the original Nintendo games with those that haven't played them.

There is no "PC-like" stereotype. There are action games, MMOs, shooters, RTSs, racing, etc., and Nintendo develops very few of these.
The market would like to play their games, and they would like the market to purchase them, but they put a $300 license check in front of the market's driveway. As mentioned, their games on PC allow literally every demographic to purchase their games, as most are of minimal requirements. Sharing that culture is way more interesting than trying to develop a fresh bit of it with a console.

maybe there isnt a "pc-like" quality but there is a "nintendo-like" quality that is easy to spot and seperates itself from the other systems. Nintendo is able to create identity for itself which i believe helps justify its console only stance. Other systems dont have that same identity and thus they feel all the same making hard to argue why they should be seperated.
Of course nintendo's identity can also work against them. I havent bought a nintendo console since n64 because im no longer interested in that identity.
Stop making consoles. The only reason they still do is because it's been their successful formula for 25-odd years, and jap businessmen shit themselves at the idea of changing working formulas, even when the current console market is making it difficult.

Even if this is true, and I'm not sure it is, Nintendo games would be targeted at a subset of the market(remember PC is HUEG), and not the same subset that plays Minecraft on their school laptops or BRs playing ASSFAGGOTS. The kind of people who play platformers on PC(or at all) are likely to know about controller support - and that's exactly who Nintendo would be targeting. Look at the controller support tag/features on steam - they're pretty heavily promoted. A lot of games (Super Meat Boy comes to mind) specifically tell you to use a controller in game.
