I've always liked Cid. Mouth of a sailor but with the brains of an astronaut and the spirit of a warrior. His go-get-em attitude and leadership skills is what rallies and holds the group together during the crucial moments of Cloud's absence.

Barret and Cid definitely have some of the better dialog. They especially shine during the Wutai sidequest. Barret beating his chest like an ape while screaming and all of Cid's one liners ("Maybe god'll forgive a fat fuck like you, but I sure as hell won't!") are way too good to pass up.
