On a separate note would you continue Kingdom Hearts IF Sora was no longer the protagonist? Basically the idea of Sora Games becomes forever forbidden in KH til the series ends. Honestly would drop KH fast if that happened. Riku is a great character, but he can't carry the series. And Ventus was Sora Lite, he was just so bland.

To be fair Disney is to blame for why you can't show violence in animated media. Who told Walt Disney to indoctrinate like 3 generations of people into thinking and seeing animation as kiddy shit? He paid the price with Fantasia flopping because by then he set up his company's image as Kid Friendly.
Now long after the man has died? The problem still persists. The only way to see a serious Batman cartoon for example is special Blue Ray movies. Beyond that? Live Action. Needless to say other franchises suffered.
This is why I'm not surprised that many people go through an Anime is Superior Phase, because they sink their teeth into violence, tits and ass, swearing, etc found in Japanese action cartoons.
