The slowed inaccuracy reset that was meant to emphasize tap firing makes all shots after the first one less accurate on the AK and M4.
Movement accuracy nerf for the pistols was a good change, and so was shortening the competitive timers.
Using those middle ground timers in the next tournament without even pros knowing beforehand is not.
Like the CZ, R8 is hilarious on launch and they just don't bother with beta testing or pro feedback, using the whole game as a beta test instead and taking months to make it balanced.

They are incompetent. In case you haven't noticed, the only property they have that has had significant competitive heft is Dota 2, and CS:GO to a lesser extent. Both of which were appropriated from their respective games. Dota 2's balance revolves around icefrog, CS:GO's balance revolves around the original mod's damage values in most cases. They only streamline the matchmaking exp and other QoL improvements. Other than TF2/L4D, Valve has never actually had to oversee a competitive game's lifespan/balance personally and you can see how that turned out for TF2 which gets like 1 balance patch every 2 years or something. L4D is dead in the water.
Like yeah, it's a company that revitalized classic shooters and introduced TF2/L4D in into the memestream, but this is a company that's thriving almost entirely on content that they had no hand in creating and spend the majority of their item regurgitating user-made content because they can't be half-assed to make anything themselves.

This has to be a tipping point. Previous updates received outrages before both from pros and le reddit (awp scope nerf which was reverted, and then later awp nerf), not to mention smaller dissatisfaction with a ton of other shit.
Plus how slow meaningful game changes are released compared to dota, like how long it took them to nerf cz and tec 9 or fix the horrid hitboxe issues.
People were never fully satisfied with the csgo dev team and this has to be the tipping point just like diretide was for dota 2, otherwise this game is completely going into the trash.
What would speak the loudest here is league enforcing their own timers and weapon bans. Really hope esea and faceit do that, probably the only hope there is.

The CZ was bullshit when it was first put in too, but after a few adjustments it is a solid buy choice and it is probably my favourite pistol to use.

I do actually, and now more than ever its easy. All you have to do is keep an eye out on two things.
1: The online community for bugs
2: The pro scene for balancing.
If your intent was to create balance where every gun/item/character had its place, and basically everybody in every tournament picked the same gun or champ or item constantly then you know you have a problem. You really just have to put something out and see how people respond to it, and if you believe its too good, you tone it down.

the idiots that start yelling unbalanced a few hours after a patch has been released are the last people on earth the developers should be listening to. there's maybe 50 pro cs:go people out of the millions that play it. don't balance a game played by millions out of what 50 people say.
