Finished Starfish earlier today. Wasn't expecting the trilogy to essentially be one long story if that makes sense. The book ends right in the middle of the story.

>telling a girl you wish you could have fucked her before dying
Badass

The last non-mandatory book I read was the beginning of Stephen King's "The Stand". It was about a month after I finished The Dark Tower series. I don't remember why I dropped it.

Because the last third of that book was stilted; King cannot write proper endings because of the way he writes his books.

Or maybe you just got bored of it.

while there's some good books on there mate it's also full of memes

Well he is right about King's endings. Practically everything after Wizard and Glass felt forced.
That self-insert
That 9/11 reference
I didn't mind the actual end though.

Yeah, Infinite Jest on the second place looks suspicious. Haven't read it yet

almost like this is a satire website
>>
>most "classic" literature is written by people who were literally being paid by the word like that hack fuck Charles Dickings
>most genre fiction is trash for autists that lacks pathos or a compelling narrative
What the fuck am I supposed to read? All I want is a solid character driven narrative by an author who seems to understand how humans talking sounds like.
>>
>>319521885
Why do all those books have such horribly pretentious covers
>>
>>319522181
How about you drop your retarded thinking in categories and just read something that seems like it would be fun to read.
>>
>>319522268
that's how I end up reading trashy genre fiction and giving up on it.
>>
>>319522181
Stick to Transformers and yearly capeshit, uncultured swine.
>>
>>319521590
Do not read the sequels, trust me on this. Starfish is a really good story on it's own, the sequels are bad and make Starfish worse by association.
