I really hate the fucking connection orb and how missions are handed out.
Feels like a massive step back from Explorers.

I like the connection orbs overall goal of getting all pokemon and exploring everywhere, but I feel as though it could have been handled better.
I don't see what is wrong with traps disappearing, you would be stupid if you walked on it twice and partner AI's don't walk over visible traps anyway.
When you think about it, the plot wouldn't have been that different if the main bad guy was actuallyYveltalinstead ofDark Matter. Same deal with the Kyurem and the Big Bad Snowflake in Gates. I guess they just didn't want to demonize the legendaries any more after Darkrai, so they need new threats to act as a hate sink.
Oh well, the final plot dungeon was still hype as absolute fuck. Solid second favourite PMD, just a little behind Explorers (although I'm slightly biased because Dusknoir is my favourite Pokemon and I love time shit).

I think the overall idea is for the bad guy to represent a bad thing, like how the snowflake and black sphere were both from negativity. You can't really have a pokemon represent it. Darkrai was just evil and felt like doing bad so that's why it worked there. But next PSMD I want the bad guy to be a bad guy doing bad things because he felt like it.
The final boss should be a monster house containing one of every pokemon.

To be honest if they combined the connection orb with some kind of building thing like from gates it would be great. Maybe you could become a guildmaster and need to build a guild. Connections orb missions allow that pokemon to start joining your guild and other missions are for materials and regular stuff.

The music in PSMD is fucking phenomenal. Fire Isle Volcano, Tree of Life:Roots, Showdown Mountain, and the Final Boss 2nd Phase music are my favorites.
I'm a little confused on how to evolve. I beat the epilogue and there hasn't been any indication on whether I can evolve. Do I have to keep doing connection orb missions or do the treasure-hunting ones?

Buy all the Lapras passes so you can go to other places in the world. Select that and go to the Sea of Wonders and go to the tree of life, Xerneas will evolve you.
REMEMBER THOUGH, evolving doesn't change stats, only maybe typing and what moves you can learn.

If you use 3 starters in your team. Try teaching them the 3 elemental pledges. If used in alliances they give you a ton of cool buffs, one that slaughters bosses.
