You know, all this talk of ironic/post-ironic new wave memes and comparing it to the good ol pre-ironic meme era got me thinking.
What if there was a meme tycoon game of sorts? The goal is basically to keep fresh memes in the run and make sure no meme becomes stale or a particularity bad, annoying meme never gets picked up. There can also be spontaneous memes that happen outside of your control and its your duty to either ignore them if thye are shitty or capitalize on them>
Just a dumb thought though, I'm sure nothing good would come of it but I figured I'd share with you guyssince you're my pals.
you're jaw-droppingly retarded and i'm not even going to bother with your shit

The fact that even the term meme was coined is retarded. But we're far past that point.
>>319475002
>meme
It was word before idiots took the reigns. The best part is the actually word has nothing to do with the meaning of today. That's why I laugh whenever people pronounce it "meem", the only "meem" happening is stupid people trying to be smart and funny at the same time.
>>319470761
Why don't we gasify memes so we can inhale them.

Don't get mad at Richard Dawkins. Conceptually, memes make sense of the bulk of human culture. Song and dance, fairy tales, proverbs, jokes. The list goes on. The meme as it exists on the Internet has become an uncontrollable beast. The perfect petri dish for a deadly plague.

It is "meem." It's akin to how you would say "gene."
>>319470761
There already is a Meme TycoonIt's on Robloxhttp://www.roblox.com/games/250950154/MEME-TYCOON-1K-MILESTONE-UPDATE

No a "meem" is a fad-like ideal, or just an ideal in general that permeates a culture. Like I said before, the only textbook meme happening is that idiots think they can be smart and funny by posting stupid captioned pictures.
