When does it get GOTY-ish?

Example of a typical quest:
1. Talk to a NPC
2. Investigate the scene with your witcher senses
3. a) Find an item connected to x
b) Talk to x
c) Follow the footsteps
4. Fight/persuasion
Dialogue is a kurwafest, gameplay is terrible. Controls are so broken that walking requires more skill than fighting. Some shit doesn't make sense, like Yennefer saying 'I'd hug you if you weren't drenched in blood' while Geralt is fully clean. The dwarf called me a regular customer when I first talked to him after finishing his quest.

I'm on the same boat as you OP. Currently on the Griffith quest and pretty much bored out of my mind. Combat system is so clunky, walking is so awkward with Geralt making stiff 180 degree turns just to go the other way.
Also so much reading. I'm sure there is a way to tone down the wordiness of the descriptions, but I think CDPR wanted it this way, especially when I recall TWII had the same sort of thing going on.
I dunno, I hope it picks up or thats $30 vanishing from my pockets right there.

My only problem was that there was no substance to the characters. Nothing particularly interesting in both the models and the voice acting. It literally felt at times they were just reading off of a script.
I will say though that my favorite quest was the one where you 'burn the baby.' Shit got tense. Also the Baron was the best character
