To be fair the DLC doesn't really matter. Most of them make the early stuff easy for new players, but in the late-game Helldive difficulty stuff it doesn't really matter. If you use tanks, mechs, and APCs in Helldives you're a massive pleb and will just cause problems for everyone else.

I have played through tons of helldives and got maxed out everything I could, and I never did buy any of the DLC. It didn't seem to matter to me since the rifles, shotguns, and laserguns that you unlocked without DLC were the best fully upgraded. There were some cool call downs in the DLC, but standard call downs were still used even on helldive difficulties. But I haven't played it in over 6 months, so I'm not sure what has been added and changed.
The biggest advice I can give if you pick it up is to keep moving and use your radar.

Lazy devs that stopped trying to improve the broken combat mechanics right off the bat, and the try-hard CoD-kiddie community that now considers using glitches and exploits as "leet skill"

It's fun as hell. Called Hell Divers. "DLC Fest" is all optional equipment options you get. None required most cool, all included if you spend 40$ on a videogame. 20$ if you just want the base game. As a quake live player I always use the scout in the rare occurrence I play cs since I have no patience for movement speed based accuracy.

I remember when it first came out, having duels was fun as fuck, people weren't spinning around like fucking beyblades, abusing some stupid glitch to do backwards overhead swings with the heaviest weapon so it would insta hit and usually one shot.
I tried to play it the other day, was dueling some fool who was coming at me like a fucking tornado, I had no idea what to do.
He killed me quite a few times, and I feinted him once and he had a fucking meltdown in the chat, saying feints were the cheapest thing in the game, and I was a piece of shit for even using it. Everyone else in the lobby got mad and vote kicked me.

I have 784 hours in chivalry. It was more fun at low ranks because it didn't suffer from the Benny Hill shit of high ranks. Instead of HEMA, you get guys pirouetting and ducking backwards doing vertical strikes because the sword hits at full power even at hilarious glancing and bullshit angles. It needs major work.

DaS is weird. At a low/"normal" level its great, people actually fight and use different attacks and play the game the way it was intended. At a high level there's a ton of wacky shit and it looks ridiculous and nothing like the developers intended but there's still a lot of depth to it and skill involved.
But at a medium level its all scrubs walking sideways hoping for backstabs with a shield up and its terrible as fuck in every way.
I haven't played Chivalry, but it sounds like its stuck at the medium level, where there's overpowered shit that spoils the intended gameplay, but without the depth that makes it possible to enjoy for what it is, even if that isn't what it should be.

Chivalry is pretty great when you can 1 on 1 duel windmillers and learn how to counter their bullshit while playing like a respectable person. Once you learn the timing to block their shit most windmillers are pretty bad and cant even handle feints

Not that guy, but it can be unnaturally frustrating to fight good players in Chivalry due to how janky the animations can be sometimes. Compare it to a game like Rocket League, where you can still get styled on but everything is relatively smooth and predictable. With that said, there's nothing inherently wrong with the last two webms you posted.
