I'd recommend 8GB of ram if you're just gaming; not going to need more of that but I'm not sure what you're doing so I just swapped it for a better deal.

its not a very well known brand, there are other brands that are better. I know EVGA makes loads of great PSUs and I'm using one right now, look for the bronze, silver, or gold certificate, while the certificate itself has nothing to do with reliability, it affirms the stress test that they go through.

the 980ti can't drive a lot of games at absolutely maxed out quality on 1440p for 60fps what makes you think the same will happen on 144fps?
Already tried on the Witcher 3 which starts to drop into the low 50's in many forested areas, by dropping off Nvidia TXAA stuff and some other unimportant rendering things like excessive god rays or hairworks shit, my performance jumped to 60fps again

Because it can drive A LOT at 90+, just the super high end ones like TW3 or shit ones like KSP it struggles with. My card is slightly weaker than yours and I play a lot at 144 fps+ or near at 1440p

The 980m has made desktops irrelevant. Most cases are still designed to be filled with half a dozen hard drives and optical drives when none of that is needed in the age of streaming and multi terabyte hard drive and SSDs that could hold entire steam libraries in one drive.
Is an i7 really fucking necessary? Like are you going to take advantage of hyperthreading? Are you going to be rendering on a regular basis? Also

that 5ms isn't even noticeable you can't see the difference in 5ms and you certainly can't feel any delay in it.
IPS by their design have the hardest time getting quicker response times than 5ms.

Not at all. I think there's 2 games total that actually lock you out of features. (Smoke in a batman game and I think 1 other game).
Gameworks usually runs slightly worse on AMD cards due to tesselation, but you can limit tesselation in the control panel and it looks the same.
