I've never paid a cent to this site. I was seriously considering it during the time of Random PC game, Load our last save and flight club but now? Have you seen the shit they put out? Even the giantbomb hugbox community doesn't like the MGS5 gameplay, every video that's not hosted by Jeff turns into a horrible boring mess with segments of boring shit that go on for far too long because Brad doesn't have a single idea how to host and New York makes one video a week if that and the podcast is boring as shit. Even when Jeff is holding the ropes the others are trying their hardest to turn the shows into shit and don't even get me started on Navarro and Walker.
I've been following Giantbomb for about 5-6 years now. I still listen to the podcast because sometimes I don't feel like listening to music on my commute but I'm done with the site otherwise. I used to watch good quicklooks multiple times and I've watched the DP and Persona ERs both at least 3 times. It's time to realise the good times are gone and not coming back.

I feel you, brother. It's insane that content with Patrick in it (Bioforge) can actually be better than anything they're putting out these days. What the hell happened to this site? It used to be about fearless fucking around, industry insight, and Ryan, Jeff, and Vinny putting on their best for the camera; now it's Brad still falling asleep but in a bigger chair, Austin and Alex acting as fun vacuums on the East Coast, and a couple of let's play episodes / streams per week. I can't even figure out why I go to the site anymore, except to hope that things will get better.
Maybe things will change when they're done getting used to the new office.

Why would it change? The site has been this way ever since Vinny left (and he might as well have just fucking gone completely, because the "GBEast" stuff is unwatchable due to Alex and Austin). Vinny was the one who made everything fun. Even after Ryan died there were some great QLs, with Jeff, Brad and Vinny all sitting in on them.

Maybe Jeff will have an epiphany, I don't know. Vinny is really the only one who learned anything from Ryan about show-running, working with others, and presenting himself well on camera. It's a shame that he's stuck with Alex "Let me remind you of how mentally unstable and cynical I am" Navarro and Austin. Austin at least cares about some games, but the dude doesn't know how to be in front of a camera or play well with others.
