What game and what feature /v/?
I'll start.
Didn't know Mad Max had a first person button.

I didn't know you could fast travel in skyrim, it was only 100+ hours into my modded playthrough that I realized because of the hud changes to my map indicating it.

I liked the game better not knowing, it feels like cheating and I don't use it, i'm an immersion fag who likes mods like frostfall
>>
Didn't know you could strafe in Doom.
I played the entire game using the mouse and always had IDKFA and IDDQD on. I noclipped relentlessly too.

In Mario 3D World, I didn't know you could actually put yourself in a Koopa shell that you were holding and slide everywhere in it.
>>

It had that too

>>319430210
There isn't a tutorial that covers every single button. Or I don't know about consolegames, but at least on PC.
>>
I played 150 hours of Mount and Blade Warband before knowing you can speed up time by pressing CTRL + Space

didn't know there was a run button in super meat boy, finally found out after clearing the first world and not being able to advance in the second one

I didn't know how to upgrade items in Demon's Souls for the majority of the game.

Everyone said it was a hard game so I just went with it. Oh boy was it hard.

Because I fucked up plugging the cables into my TV somehow, I played though the entire first Gears of War game in black and white, not realising that it was supposed to have colour.

Being that it was right in the middle of that whole grimdark period, there was minimal difference when I replayed it in colour.

No, these people are as bad at games as Game Grumps and Kotaku, apparently.

There's a tutorial and if you say you don't want to go through it, they still brief you on the basics of the game, just quickly. Just like Kirby's copy ability in All-Stars

>>319428767
I didn't know about circling around to do backstabs when playing Demon's Souls.
This actually made the game a lot better, you couldn't just rush through enemies or deal with them in that super easy certain way where you're invinsible during the whole thing so taking on a pack of them isn't a problem either. When Dark souls got around I knew about the feature though, which didn't make the starting areas especially as notable to me.
To this day I wish they'd remove the feature as it kind of ruins the interesting spacing they had going on before, I guess at least they changed it so it has no invinsibility in Dark souls 2, but this faggot-like circling just feels cheap, it really does.
>>

>>
>>319430407
>>319430537
that's a cheat though right? If you're chasing an enemy for instance, you land on top of him, so only you and your party speed up, not the enemy.
>>
I got about 3/4 of the way through Fallout 3 before realising you could bind items to number keys by holding the number button down while in the pipboy/inventory.

>>
>>319432785
Not him, but the game doesnt do a terribly good job of explaining how to block and parry. You're never told you've done it right and the on screen indicators imply that you simply have to have the control stick pointing in the same direction, not that you have to actually release it and then move it that direction.

I don't even know how they messed it up since Bayonetta was actually really good for it and even Team Ninja managed it with the fuck up that is Ninja Gaiden 3.
>>
>>319433030
Codec up the ass and iirc there is like an ingame manual which explains how to use items and how to do certain moves right?

>>319432063
thats the undead nightmare dlc. the game still holds up pretty well
>>
>>319429405

what, really? I feel like that would kind of ruin the line of sight thing that you always have to keep track of, and the speed at which enemies move.

neither did I, what I meant is that I think lock on would kind of ruin some of the fun i nthe game, which is keeping track of enemies and then being really fast at turning once they start bullrushing you, it seems to me that playing with lock on wouldn't be as exciting
