It takes balls to do something like this. Hardly any other games have a prehistoric setting, and certainly none like this. They could have taken the safe route and made another cookie cutter, cinematic, modern FPS, instead we got something completely different.
I'd buy it for that reason alone, to support devs willing to take risks. I will however wait for reviews, and I certainly won't pre-order it (or any other game, for that matter).

I started working on a team based third person clubber a while ago, aside from out right murdering the other team you had to steal women/livestock from the world or opposing team and carry them back to your base, women could be put to work either breeding (generated respawns in the form of children, who could in turn be kidnapped) or gathering resources to create new equipment/buildings/defenses.

Actually, per-agriculture, the working week was roughly 17 hours.
That's 17 hours of hunting, crafting, preparing, curing, whatever.
The rest of the week was spent on less important stuff.
Not even fucking ranked highly, because they were nomadic, they couldn't have more than 2 kids at a time.

I'll probably get it when it goes on sale for 30 or less. I liked Far Cry 3 and 4 (even though 4 was just more of the same), but Primal doesn't look amazing. You tame beasts too easily, I don't see enough depth in the combat with only stone age tools, and I can guarantee it gets boring once you find the best beasts to tame for every mission type.

The whole setting is just an excuse to add more stupid game mechanics in the Ubisoft formula they've done since 2012, almost every Ubisoft game has those fucking stupid skinning/crafting mechanics that add nothing to the gameplay, just prolong it with tedious tasks so you would be able to play the game comfortably and have fun, this shit is going to be the same exact shit just with more tedious tasks to complete. I wish they would just focus more on story or main mission gameplay instead of stupid side bar shit.
