It's ugly but it's pretty fun to play. Certainly better than the mess that was 13. It being ugly sucks but SNK hasn't had money since like '02. Why should you trust me?

I played it at PSX. Looks like it's shaping up just fine, but I mostly care about the gameplay and acknowledge that the graphics could be a result of it being a game in development and am a reasonable human being.
