I played FF7 as a kid, never reached even the second disk. I heard someone made some sort of values mod to skip grinding reducing the game from 70hrs~ to 40hrs~.

Part 1: Fully explorable Midgar, make it more of a demo than a full game and charge half price for it ($29.99/$39.99), its just to get feel for the remake ala Ground Zeros -> Part 2: Leaving Midgar and entering the world map and ends with rip in peace Flowerbitch -> Part 3: Begins with Cloud getting his shit together and ends with final battle between Sephiroth also has endgame optional sidequests and bosses

The only real problem I see with this is cost.
If they're charging any more than like, $15 an episode, fuck them and fuck this whole remake, I'll wait for the inevitable complete edition. But if it's priced in such a way that you're paying $60 over the course of a few years for the whole package, then I don't really have any problem with it.
