Why is Twitch so full off spaghetti? Fuck

That's why I never join a stream with less than 50.

That literally never happens with me. What games are you watching anon.

How often does this happen, anons? I wouldn't know since I rarely watch streams.
>>
This happened to me. Fucker started getting hundreds of viewers after he did a give away. They stuck around too.

>>
>>319343065
Do you seriously expect a guy with 10k viewers to acknowledge every single one?

Not trying to promote here but I always watch this guy when a new game comes out that I'm not interested in enough to play it myself and the viewer interaction gets annoying as fuck some times like i just wanna enjoy the game

At least he removed the chat for the third campaign of starcraft 2

>mfw all those 1k donations

like what the fuck?
>>
>>319343180
Maybe the reason they will never be popular is because of how personal they try to be with each viewer, which drives off people like the OP?

Who am I kidding? All streamers are attention whores who want viewers to pay for their hobby.

I don't have a twitch account, do I still show up in some kind of list of viewers?

Streamers are annoying when they welcome every new viewer. I've been watching Creative streams lately, and I really just want them to shut up and create something. They all spend 90% of the time talking to chat.

>Get to some fat guy constantly puffing on his hookah with 2 viewers
>He's trying to solve this part in a level where you put a pow block ontop of a thwomp and ride it but completely misses the point and keeps thinking he has to do something else
>Someone calls him an idiot in the chat

>"Hah you guys see that? Who's the idiot now."
>Continues to get mad at the stage and retreats into rocker league afterwards abandoning the viewer level list he had
>>
>>319342195
When I stream I usually try my best to just ignore new viewers so as to make them feel like this. I know I would hate it if this happened to me.
>>
>>319344143
>a bro has a game I am interested in
>ask him to stream it for me

Streaming has it's place, but it shouldn't be the popularity contest that it has turned into.
>>
Oh no I love the attitude of those comfy streams with 10-20 viewer circlejerks who all know each other, playing multiplayer games together and fun things like that. If I just want gameplay I'd go to YouTube and watch some commentary-less gameplay, twitch is more of a social thing.
>>
>>319342741

I feel bad that that people actually find video game streams interesting.

Youtube and movie streams are where it's at.

I subbed and have watched nearly all of them
>>
>>319344551

I grew up watching my brother play video games. We rented countless games over the years and most of them were single player so I just watched him play. So watching streams isn't that different.
>>
>find Youtube channel with hundreds of videos uploaded over the years
>none of them have more than 20 views, most have 0

It's fine as long as they're having fun, I guess.
>>
Fuck off with this "post link" shit, you can find your own people to bully if that's what you feel like you need to do.
>>
>>319345002
You know you could just play those games, right?

I understand watching someone else as a child, I had my buddy play through RE because I was a pissy little baby and couldn't cope with the spooks.

A game not fun enough to play isn't worth watching.

>decide to test my stream bit rate since recently improved internet speeds
>Stream Metroid: Zero Mission and get caught up playing it while streaming
>Forget to switch audio output settings so our conversation and general dicking around is also getting streamed
>within 20 mins have 15 viewers, only one person in chat saying "u guys are funny :)"

I realized my mistake and took the stream down, haven't gotten over 5 viewers sense.
I still don't understand what some people want and look for in these streams, if you don't talk or have cam they won't watch. I don't get it, is it supposed to fill some kind of friendless void?

I watch Civ5 streams because I'd never have the time myself to commit 6-8 hours straight for a full multiplayer game. The beginning is always nice to watch, then skip the boring parts.

I can't even find a game to entertain myself nowadays. Anyone have suggestions?
>>
>>319346812
People like to feel like they have friends. If you can get 3-4 vaguely entertaining people together for a single channel, you can make a lot of money.
>>
>>319347303
Any game that allows full interaction between you and the small crowd of people watching. Try Manhunt, Postal or some other shit that you don't see a lot of.

>>319347303
Barotrauma will become a meme game soon enough.
>>
>>319347303
Some people like to watch streams of newer games so they can see if they might like it.

I don't know how people manage to get no views on YouTube. I posted a shitty webcam recorded video of a Mario Maker level and it has 500 views, and some of my random ass WoW videos got to 1,000-2,000
>>
>>319346812
People have different reasons for chiming in. Some like the feeling of enjoying a game with a group of people. Others just want to be entertained and treat it like a comedy show.

Sometimes there's streams stuck with a set amount of viewers because they formed a community around it. It's a little like those forums people used for a subject but ended up sticking around because they grew into it and liked talking to the people there.

I don't understand how Twitch got popular. I just don't get it at all.

Everything about it seems terrible. I can only imagine the people who regularly watch other people play video games are mostly underage or have aspergers to the max.
