Valve does things differently from most other companies, they don't release footage or information on things that might change so as not to have people getting over-hyped or be disappointed when things aren't how the pre-release stuff was.
Look at all of their releases recently and you'll be able to find a pattern. Portal 2, Dota 2, CS:GO. They don't say anything about a game until it's ready to be released.
They won't make it because there is a 0% it will live up to the hype. If it was going to be released it would have been 6 years ago.
