If you want to use your free play to get that Jingle badge, don't go too far to the left.
You'll want to grab from its right, not from it's left, it will drop slightly and rotate clockwise when nudged.

You'd have to be the biggest casual in the universe not to be able to get the basic Nikki badge. It has a hook on top for the crane to hook to and no obstacles on the sides. You just need one play to clear that whole machine.

It's not just EU's fault, there are a ridiculous amount of animal crossing badges compared to everything else. Each villager from NL gets included, and there's some seperate ones for HHD. It never ends.
The machines aren't even good and all need multiple tries to get everything no matter what you do.
I deleted it after playing twice, because waiting for it to load and waiting for the bunny to stop speaking took more time than the "gameplay" itself (unless you really want to pay for that shit). I don't really care for badges either, just wanted a few to place on folders at first but because Nintendo mainly puts up Mario shit I quickly stopped caring.

This won't work nearly as well as you think it would.
Despite the slope, those two badges down low are flat and probably hefty enough to deter push attempts like that.
My best guess might be to try and angle the crane to have the left-tip push Nikki by the head, it should hopefully awkwardly have a push to maybe grab the cat and have a chance of pulling it out.
Then Nikki and the Panda I think would tumble down a bit, and hopefully be in a decent position to get that Nikki badge.
It's speculative though, some of these you really cannot know until you try.
And also for the record, "Mega Badges" are heavy as shit and very really easily dropped, there are two kinds, 2-tile and 4-tile and are identified by different coloured arrows when you press X.
