Not that guy, but that one isn't so hard to believe. I didn't find it until late game my first run since I left the catacombs for last, but I stumbled upon the covenant by accident and got the sword. I also got the drake sword by accident (also later in the playthrough), but that one is because I was autistic with arrows and wanted to see if I could eventually kill the thing with a fuckload of them.

I was in the catacombs and killed the demon that shoots the Lightning. Behind him was an item that I picked up. As I was running back, since that way was a dead end, I ran by the coffin and noticed the promt to get into it so I did and it transported me to the skeleton dude and I joined the Covenant. What the fuck is so unbelievable about that?

It has always been a somewhat gimmicky magic weapon in the souls games.

in Dark Souls 1, it was a pure magic weapon
Dark Souls 2 is irrelevant
in Bloodborne it's just a worse version of Ludwig's meme blade
