Try that one, Dawn of Sorrow, if you like Metroid. It's got a system where enemies you kill have a chance to drop a soul, which you can then equip and have a new special move. Some increase your stats, some give you a new attack, some give you a secondary attack. Or something.
Only shitty part is after you beat the boss, you have to whip out your stylus and draw a figure to seal it
