There's your answer. You can't really shovel that feature down from your throat. For me, I found it really unnerving, to watch as the enemies crept closer to you, muttering and making weird noises.

Ah well, if you didn't really enjoy it then yeah, it's probably not for you. I enjoyed the creepy atmosphere and was genuinely disturbed by a lot of the scenarios in it. I liked the multi-character storylines as well.
Also, it's not possessing, you just "sight jack" in order to see through your enemy's eyes to help you maneuver around and such, since fighting isn't really encouraged for some characters.

You should use PCSX2 to emulate (the original squaresoft release of) kingdom hearts, probably the best overall PS2 game, avoid Final Mix and all other releases, avoid whatever notions of the series you have, the first game is a masterpiece
