No, getting one was the worst thing I've done
I used to mostly be keeping up with my backlog, but since I've got a vita I just can't keep up with releases.
I need some time to relax, but at this rate...
I mostly play PS1 and PSP games on it.
If it wasn't for the AMOLED I would use it a lot less

Senran is actually way more fun than I thought it would be. I picked it up to support super niche fanservice games getting localized, and I ended up having a total blast with it.

For how much you get access to, it's great. A real vita is way better of course, but hey, a Vita TV + Earth Defense Force 2 is like $50 total, and that's worth it alone. Fucking awesome game.
It's pretty much just a trial vita with less features though. But if you don't care about portability, the compatibility is (mostly) decent.

I love it except for the account locking and memory cards. Things would be so much easier if you could fit multiple accounts on a memory card.
I got it a week ago but so far I'm loving it. Got me Freedom Wars and the ePSP hack. I already love it for the ability to play PSP games on a nicer screen alone.

I keep trying to like it. It's got some fun games that I've enjoyed, but I've had nothing but hardware issues out of the box.
First I had to replace the fucking battery, cause the one that came out of the box had issues where it would be fully charged, but still give me a low battery warning. Eventually that battery just died and I had to replace it.
Now I have an issue where the fucking speakers crackle like shit, even with the volume muted. What the fuck, it's really fucking irritating.

I like it but I have a hard time picking it up again after not playing it for a day or two. I guess I just don't like how it feels in my hands very much. I do have the 1000 model, so maybe the 2000 is better.

You can do it, there's two ways and one involves homebrew.
First way is to go to Miiverse(Home button on the thing you want to screenshot, green button at the top-right) and then post it, go to Miiverse itself on your browser and save the picture.
Second way is to use homebrew, run the game through HANS(Though this means all your playtime goes to your exploit which annoys me to no end) and then pressing Home. Then you back out to the homebrew launcher once you're done playing and run the screenshot tool and it's as simple as taking them off of your SD card.
I share your pain, the homebrew method pisses me off since Ironfall would get like 500+ hours instead of the actual game if I plan on taking screenshots, and the Miiverse one takes forever since the thing loads so slowly. Very rarely do games have it built in like Animal Crossing and Pokemon X and Y(Though only in certain areas and only for certain things)

It's something you don't need. If you're above 9.2 you use HANS which lets the game you choose run in a mode where you get some privileges like N3DS speed on older 3DS games if you're on a N3DS, translation patches on the fly, it fixes compatibility that regionfour and prior didn't have due to not having the proper fonts or something, screenshots on the home button(Since home button doesn't work when you're using something that lets you run out of region games), and a button combination to throw you back into the homebrew launcher.
You can run the CIAs so it counts the actual game time and you have native support of all these things via plugins.
I bought one expecting games. I did not find any games. I only found the semen left from Sony fucking it over. Once Sony had raped the Vita it headed for my wallet. After giving it to Sony, it gave me an 8gb memory card and a couple psp and ps1 games. It wasn't worth it.

I think a bunch of the best PS1/saturn games never really made it west. Some of my personal favorites are Speed Power Gunbike and Love & Destroy (both by OG inti creates). Totally out there. Unfortunately I had to abandon everything I own a little while back, so this small collection is all I have right now. Except for music, which is on another shelf. And 1Q84 which is on my bed instead of my shelf.
