Given that I know what the story is, I'm more interested in the actual gameplay and how it's balanced. And maybe a little on getting immersed in that world so that places like Midgar and Gold Saucer actually feel more alive than they did on PSX.
All of that gets better if they don't have to release the entire world in one project, so I guess this is okay. I've waited a lot of years for this thing, I'm probably not dying before it is done, and I am not going to be in doubt what the conclusion is gonna be.

They've explained this fucking situation in interviews, if you'd actually bother to do a little research before you start bitching. They want to include pretty much every scene and feature from the original game, plus add new stuff, including new areas. For the level of detail and scale they're going for, it would take forever to develop a full game like that. Not to mention it would be insanely expensive.
As it stands, no content will be cut, and we'll get to play it a lot sooner than expected. I don't see how this isn't a win-win.
Not to mention, a lot of you were still eager to gargle Kojima's balls after he sold you a 30 dollar tech demo. The hypocrisy is very strong right now on /v/.
