Personally I liked Vice city more, I enjoyed its 80's aesthetic a lot.
In terms of controls and general gameplay, it's the worst. The radio stations are short so that gets annoying after a while.
I like the depressing theme of it. Them toilets in the park I always seem to remember.

Not for me. Are you turning the plane too much? Just need to use the button for making the wings turn rather than rely on the main driving controls. You unlock a cool vigilante helicopter for getting all gold so it's worth it. Problem is when you also unlock the hydra only some things spawn depending where you approach the airfield.
You don't need gold in the schools for 100% anyway. Just need bronze to progress.

This is going to feel silly, especially since the game was designed pre-9/11 but I feel like the game encapsulates 9/11.
Like, it had the whole technological impressiveness behind it, which makes it new and exciting like some aspects of mid-2000s america, but it's also got the deep psychological scar of 9/11 underneath it all making it depressing and at times unnerving (it couldn't be bad, it's the PATRIOT act, for patriots.)
