It's smarter for sony to treat the PC market as a trickle down market instead of competition.

Sony seem to be banking only on their 1st party franchises like Uncharted, which unfortunately works well with the casuals (not to say UC is shit, it's still decent fun).
I bought a PS4 for Bloodborne and don't really regret it, still play all multiplats on PC obviously but the only way they'll get me to buy shit on their console is by securing some 3rd party exclusives.

I enjoyed my Vita for a while, then all the exclusives, the reasons I bought the damn thing, were being ported out. We don't even get the sequel to Gravity Rush anymore, that's a sequel which wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the Vita users.

Star Wars Battlefront is a third party game, but it sold more on the PS4 than on the PC and Xbox One combined, so EA was happy it sells on all platforms and Sony is happy it sold the most on the Playstation.
