I played the Redux recently.
2033 is superior to last light.
2033 was not designed so that you could ghost through areas. In last light staying in the shadow and following your compass allows you to breeze through human filled maps easily.
My favorite weapon is the fucking Bastards mainly because you can see the actual bullets in the clips when your just scavenging around.
I honestly cant play in ranger mode because I just forget what buttons to press

What didn't you like about the gameplay?
Personally, I really like how slow it is. Firefights start and stop really quickly on Ranger mode. It's sort of a niche game, so I can understand why someone wouldn't like it though.

not the same guy, but have a wall of points about why i think the game is shitty:
a) Ranger shitmode is just deleted UI mode. I can't even know how many ammo I have nor if i'm about to throw a knife, a grenade or a medkit
b)Game has the same setting of the previous but got rid of the cool mobs like librarians and replaced them with "watch the spiders as they burn"
c)stealth is so fuckin SHIT that the moment you step outside the shadows EVERYONE IN THE ROOM SUDDENLY HEARS YOU.
d) AI is so fuckin SHIT that YOU CAN SHOOT PEOPLE AND JUGGLE BETWEEN TWO SPOTS IN THE SAME SHADOW and THEY WON'T UNDERSTAND SHIT and keep shooting where you were 10 secs ago
e) CUTSCENES EVERY 2 STEPS
f)Game thinks you're good if you stare at people. You're bad if you take air filters from dead bodies tho

Sounds like you're talking about Last Light/2033 Redux. I agree with many of your points, even though I still managed to enjoy both Last Light and the Redux. 4A made some questionable design decisions with LL, and I hope they learn from them in their next game.
But I was referring to the original 2033, which didn't have any of the problems you listed.
