At this year evo tournament the razer fightstick failed to work and stop responds during the finals match.

The razer sticks only work for one console while hori and madcatz support multiple choice options and mod friendly.
The razer stick is known for breaking.
So if you're paying that much you're better with a hori stick that works on pc

I know nothing about their sticks, but I would stay away from razor anything as their ching chong software is complete shit. I have a blackwidow that went was close to being bricked after one of their firmware updates. I'd suggest scouting google for any software issues first.

i don't have a ps4 and i played with one at a friend's house and hated the controller. i liked the ps1/ps2 controller though
360 dpad is shit. i have one. controller is good since it works with everything without even having to configure shit but the dpad is just awful

if you've never used one/dont play on arcade cabs a lot, then yeah, get a cheapo one to get used to it.
i learned to play fighters on stick so controllers feel weird and awful to me, but if you're used to controllers, a stick won't make you better just like that.
and if you drop $150 on a te and then suck dick at sf you might be a little miffed.
I bought a Hori Rap 4 Kai and broke the cable door off of it in a fit of autistic rage. Now it has a huge chunk of hot glue on one side holding it on and a bunch of scrapes from having to redo it.
Great stick though. Highly recommend.

I have a HORI RAP4 Kai as my first stick and I like it a lot. I don't exactly know all that much about arcade sticks though.
Still a shit at fightans but at least I don't mash as much with a stick, and it's also getting plenty of use for shmups and beat 'em ups.
