Oh thank god im not the only one. Why the fuck did they introduce that stupid mechanic of buliding up power levels by constantly spamming attacks?! It's completely counter-intuitive to the way it was meant to be played upon its introduction in freedom 2 and unite. I mained greatsword, longsword, and hammer and its pathetic how little i have to try with a GS to match and even beat my LS solo times which require much more effort. What a terrible mechanic.

Just got the game Friday as a birthday gift and i'm loving it. I'm at the point where i'm about to hunt the Gore Magala. I've been running mixed sets the entire time, it is time to lock down and get a full set now? I'm also about to upgrade the Defender's Blade to Dear Lutemis.

Ok alright. I was wondering what a good time is to get into Monster hunter 4U multiplayer. Been playing solo so far and got ~45 hours in and got into High rank quests recently.
My equipment currently consists of a full rarity 3 Rathalos blademaster set and a Red Wing GS. Also got some older armor (rarity 2 mostly) and some other weapons but this what I'd consider my best equipment.
I have no idea at all at what point it's acceptable to jump into multiplayer. I was supposed to play with a friend of mine but he's been too busy to play the game so far.

Seeing as you're still in High rank you should keep going solo until you get something called a "wystone". You get it once you're close to beating the story. After that is when most consider it a good time to jump online.

This game is complete fucking garbage. I gave it a shot because you guys were insistent. "It's a good game!" Everyone said. Fuck you lying sacks of shit. Fuck, though, where do I start in saying what the fuck is wrong with this game? First off, the god damn camera. You'd think that in a game involving killing giant monsters ( I use this term loosely, they are all just fucking dinosaurs), there'd be a lock on camera, right? Well, you'd be wrong. Then, the combat. Holy shit the combat. I picked the big sword, because I knew a weeb game would have the giant cloud strife sword as the god damn strongest. Well, it's so fucking slow and retarded with its movements you're not going to hit anything, and instead on the THREE FUCKING SECONDS it takes to SWING THE SWORD ONCE OR PUT IT AWAY the monster is already beating the shit out of you. Speaking of that, monsters are pretty much impossible by jumping all around and sometimes outright running away (if it does that you're fucked and going to time out the quest as there's no way to follow or find them). Rolling through an attack is absolutely impossible and doesn't work, what fucking game doesn't have roll invincibility frames? Using an item makes your character then proceed to throw his arms into the air and cheer to the world- only to get hit because I CAN'T FUCKING CONTROL MY CHARACTER WHILE HE'S ACTING LIKE A FUCK AND CHEERING. This makes a typical hunt in monster hunter go like this.

>Get smacked because weapon is too slow
>heal
>Get hit because LOL CELEBRATION
>Heal
>Get hit
>Die
>Come back
>Monsters gone
>Quest runs out of time.
