Oblivion is actually fun because of how ridiculous it is. I like being able to jump 10 feet into the air or run around the forest high on skooma punching wildlife. The combat is shit but it's at least funny and not frustrating like Skyrims.
It's very light-hearted and doesn't try to take itself seriously like Skyrim.

Oblivion had Water Walking and lighting spells.
With Skyrim Water Walking was added in the Dragonborn expansion(potion only, no spells) and had two different lighting spells(light orb above your head, light orb that sticks wherever you cast it).
Man I fucking love skyrim. One of the best rpgs I've played in the last 5 years.
I bought it on 360 and logged something like 500 hours inc dlc and got to lvl 80. I was desperate to play it again but after building my pc I couldn't go back to shitty 30fps. That's till I found out you can transfer your save to the pc version.

Oblivion had more fleshed out quests but that was it. It also had Shivering Isles which remains the best expansion in Elder Scrolls history.
Otherwise? I just made a random build and stopped leveling after say level 25 or so. No reason to fuck about with it beyond that level.
A game saved by mods but in its vanilla form is one of the most broken and shit games I've ever played besides Daggerfall and it's glitches. Holy fucking shit that game.
