GTA V came pretty close but that game is a technical masterpiece

Same goes for cloth physics, but less so since that can potentially be used in a lot of aspects of the game. Volumetric cloth physics is a fucking nightmare calculation wise still though.

I always feel like they should just use different camera angles so you don't see the actual liquid because it always looks stupid as fuck. Also, as other anons have said is a turbo waste of resources.

If you know you cant make pouring a drink decently at least make it so the character pours with little distance between bottle and cup.

Also they need to make something for models interacting. Kissing and hugging usually looks terrible, also you get shit like FO4 where bullets get recycled

I've seen scenes like this where instead the camera cuts to the character's face while the pouring sound plays. It's a fairly subtle workaround.
