Having issues launching JC3. I have it for PC on steam. When I try to launch it, it loads up the start screen with Rico sitting watching the oil rig burn and then when it switches to the next load transition screen such as this https://gyazo.com/22a5e125e99f59d962f626349a82953a it loads for about 3 seconds then crashes. If anyone knows anything please help that would be much appreciated

don't worry even if you could get it to work whenever there are more than one explosion on screen it dips to 0 fps or just crashes.

Whats your hardware?
I get bad stuttering and 2 second freezes when explosions happen. Sometime when I move around by car too. Why is this?

Have you read the steam discussion guide?
>block JC3 from your firewall, when it starts it'll prompt for offline mode
>make sure you run it in window via steam properties '-windowed -noborder'
>make sure you have at least 8 gigs of memory (16 is optimal just to be sure)
>make sure you enable global illumination from preferences, it has been associated with some error reports
>make sure you try setting water detail to 'medium' and turning off water tessellation
It's probably that your machine runs out of memory in the start. People report that during the mission end screens the gpu memory usage jumps up multiple gigabytes, hence the 1 fps speed because it'll try to swap out shit in and out from the gpu.
All in all shit coding and DENUVO on top of everything.
On my GTX965M 16gig I4720HQ laptop game runs perfectly stable 30 fps (but of course will get the 1fps issues etc shit from time to time)
It's a memory leak and shit coding. Fucking AAA developers. It's weird that gpu drivers used to be just a low level code for accessing api like directx but now nvidia directly debugs developers shitty code. Why??? They are supposed to be low level operating system DRIVERS. Game just makes api calls to draw graphics. Wtf???
Hell i'm playing it on ps4 and it's worse than dragon's dogma was on the ps3. I can't get past one of the first mission where you have to protect your friend because when there are too many explosions not only the frame rate shit itself but it even crashes.

weird im also playing it on ps4 and besides some occasional frame drops it runs pretty smoothly. Hopefully theyll sort out the problems some of you are experiencing. Im having a blast playing the game is really gorgeous the explosions are amazing and my frame rate only drops heavily with the most massive explosions
the driving is shit though motorcycles are literally unplayable.

Besides the telemetry crap (which is easily disabled), I've yet to come across any problems with win10. Feels and performs same as win7.
Some games actually run slightly better on win10, so theres that too. You'll want it eventually for DX12.

also gtx 780, howevever with 16gb and haswell i7 running off a wd black using nvidea beta drivers. suggest installing geforce experience and letting it optimize, make sure you are in steam offline mode, online crashes for me, if it is still fucked, literally means it cannot function under i5 or under 8GB only. our cards are the same. ps win 7. and dis let geforce optimize the settings using nvidea latest beta driver. at 1440p and no crashes or stuttering so far in steam offline mode

So I had 8GB of ram and it shuttered. I had an extra 4gb stick around (altough this would break my Dual Channel setup I think) and shuttering is gone.
