Every Goblin city really. Booty Bay in the summer, Everlook in the deep winter and Gadgetzan all year around are all wonderfully made and immersive. I'm thinking now how many comfy places there are and surprised how many places I can list: Brill, Thunder Bluff, Darkshire, Astranaar, the troll village in Desolace.
I would go so far to say that WoW is the comfiest game in video games.

I remember having listened to this only a few times since I was young when playing WoW for the first times and I wasn't allowed to stay up late, so I could almost never see the world at night. I remember being so amazed by the night when going out into Dun Morogh at listening to night music when I did get the chance to stay up till late.

WOTLK was the last expansion the original team worked on.
Ulduar was their pièce de résistance / swan song.
They were all shuffled off to Titan while the Activision/Blizzard merger went into full effect and ruined the game.
It can clearly be seen in the transition from Ulduar to "The trial of the grand crusader". Worst filler content ever. At one time, AQ40 was considered filler content.
The game went downhill rapidly after Ulduar, and the old team that went to Titan had all their work thrown in the trash when titan was scrapped and "overwatch" was plucked from the wreckage.
It would be like devs taking the wow arena mode and selling it as its own game, omitting the huge open world and all the other content that led to the arena.

Yea. WoW had and continues to have the best zones, musically and graphically.
For me, Cataclysm was a breath of fresh air the continent sorely needed. With the use of phasing on a larger scale, you could finally see how your actions impact the land, which was one of the better ideas Blizz had.
All they need is to make fun raids again, something like Ulduar and curb the welfare epix. Let the epics become epic again.
I'm closely watching Legion, because I really want to return playing one of the classes. Every class is fun in its own right.
