I got it in a bundle or something forever ago, and for a few weeks now I've been seeing people talk about it on /v/ so I tried it and it's like Sonic but with bad level design, bad combat, and a story and voice acting that made me cringe so hard I thought I was going to die.
So no, not really hype for DLC.

There are various subtleties with the combat that the game never tells you about
for example you can cancel Lilac's cyclone by pressing your attack button
and using Carol's double jump has an attack when you press the attack button immediately after "double jumping", and her special kick has tons of invincibility frames
I personally have no issues with the level design or combat otherwise, but the story and VA are amateur as fuck

The creators of the game are literal autistic deviantart furfaggots, so definitely pirate it if you don't want any money to touch their grubby paws. Game itself is decent, definitely play on the mode that gets rid of the cutscenes etc. though. Furries are about as good at writing dialogue, plotlines, and hiring voice actors as you'd expect. Everything about the game that isn't the music or the gameplay is garbage, and even the gameplay can be a bit spotty depending on the level.
If you liked the genesis Sonic games you'll probably like it.

Also, the tidbit everyone's leaving out is that you get a physical copy of the game on a USB card. DRM free, too. That's in addition to the Steam code.
