I don't understand the mentality of veteranfags. Why would you want an old character instead of a new one? If you want to play as Wolf, why not just play Brawl? If you want to play as Pichu, why not just play Melee? Newcomers are far more exciting because they bring new movesets with them. What exactly do veterans have besides nostalgia? Even in Japan, more people tend to prefer veterans... but why?
Because people liked to play those characters and want to play them in a new game, too?
By your reasoning, why bring back anyone at all? The original 8 should've been scrapped after 64, just fucking kick out that Mario and Kirby and replace them with someone new and exciting.

Yeah, no shit, but veterans aren't all clones. If OP had posted about wanting clones back then I'd have agreed with him, but wanting Mewtwo, Snake, Ice Climbers, Squirtle, or Ivysaur back isn't bad at all.
