Life is Strange is pretty good if you're into the tell tale games and can stomach "teen drama'. You can get all three witcher games for around 35$. Deus ex human revolution is 4.99 and is one of the best first person stealth games since the original. Alien isolation is one of the better horror games I've played in a while.

Similar to the original, you pick up a single hero to go for an adventure and gather an army to fight for you. There's a lot of variety in units, covering your basic fantasy creature catalog in addition with different humanoid races, such as elves and dwarves. Creating a balanced army is a challenge of its own, for instance, if you ought to mix undead or demon units with humanoid soldiers and alike, the latter will lose morale and will to fight alongside those horrid monsters, unless you pick up traits to boost their bravery.
The battle mechanic is safe and familiar turn-based with hexagon tiles, while moving in the overworld happens in real time. There's a vast option of spells either to boost your own units, alter the battlefield or spread havoc among your enemies.
The game comes with an interesting marriage feature, where you can wed one of the female characters you meet and eventually have babies with her. Your wife and your children will provide different bonuses and she can also wear artifacts for you. If you break up with her, she will take a certain percentage of your gold and take away your children. Just like in real life! For all of you necrophiliacs in here,there's a zombie girl you can marry.
The world is huge. I mean, it's like freaking huge. You perform quests and come across with a lot of NPC encounters, which sometimes has different outcomes depending how you answer to them. There's a surprising amount of dialogue to read. Countless of dungeons and caverns are waiting for you to be explored. Even purifying a cursed object is a fight sequence of itself.

These games are both bad. Divinity: Original Sin has nice combat and lousy everything else. Lousy quests and writing, lousy loot system and inventory management.
Wasteland 2 is just hot garbage, I can't even fathom recommending that to someone as anything but a straight up troll.
Dishonored and Mount and Blade: Warband are both five bucks and have great single player, if you haven't played them yet.
Ring Runner is 99 cents and fairly neat.
Magicka is $2.50 and has fun multiplayer if you know anybody to play it with.
Anno 2070 for under 7 bucks is a deal, if you can deal with Uplay.
Shatter is worth 2 bucks.

I can only recommend Div Original Sin. I personally finished the game in two weeks and put 68h in one run.
The combat is really well done and so is the world designed around it.
I personally couldn't deal with Pillars of Eternity. Nice story but the way it's delivered and coped with horribly tedious combat just killed it 20h in.

I recommend it. The game is definitely rough around the edges, but if you like the sound of what it's presenting to you, then I think you will enjoy it.
The biggest problem at the moment would be that the game has a LOT of various mechanics, but doesn't tell you about the majority of it properly/at all. Figuring things out like that may or may not be your thing, but either way you will have to learn the hard way.
On that note, capital ship combat is hella fun.

WL2 is trash. D:OS is OK if you skip through all of the dialog, suffer through the pixel hunt quests, and don't loot anything but big chests. Pillars was disappointing, but it's definitely better than these two stinkers.

Arma is for having sub-25 FPS on a high end PC even though the game doesn't really look that good, and you want to go on virtual camping trips with your friends, while that one super autistic guy in your group keeps the mod repository updated every week/month, etc. etc..

It's a weird mix of genres but it's incredibly good. Just upfront, go with "too easy" as difficulty because the game gets incredibly hard later on due to power shortage, resource management and other mechanics

As a massive fan of Borderlands 2, I really liked the Pre-Sequel, it had some shit areas and it was a bit short, but I had fun with the base game. Worth the $40 I spent on it. The laser guns are fun as fuck, and the gravity is a bit of fun as you can use elemental stomps on enemies. The oxygen system is useless as you never run out of oxygen and it drains your health hilariously slowly.

Just to point something out. Autumn sale never had minigames, trading cards and achievements if I remember correctly.

I guess the basic reason for the current design is the new refund system for Steam games. It's weird though, the deals aren't all bad but I would argue they make less money with this one.

GRID was okay back in the days but it didn't age well imho.
GRID 2 is shit, GRID autosport I have no idea, seems like that after realizing they murdered the series with GRID 2 (didn't even have cockpit view for fuck's sake) they went back to the roots.
DIRT games are alright and fun, especially 2&3, but there's DIRT Rally out there which is amazing (I don't have it, waiting for christmas sales I guess, but I tried it and it's incredible)
