I did beat the game once with that Axton guy and did a bunch of sidequests, but i really want to get into it now and max level and shit. I really like the gun and loot aspect but i don't know how to feel about those fucking class skills. I just want to shoot shit with the cool guns, but the game seems to focus so much on special abilities.
I search around for what people think is the most fun class and it seems to me like most people think that chick is really fun, but i search for gameplay of her and it's literally non stop special ability spam and shooting at frozen targets. Isn't that boring? I mean i see people using that power and it fucks up whole rooms full of enemies in seconds.

Gunzerker is a gun berzerker. Pretty self explanatory and sounds like what you want.
Mechromancer, psycho and siren are the strongest.
Play Krieg, set yourself and everyone else on fire, or go the green route so that when you shoot people to death they explode.

Well you already played the Commando and that's the only other shooting - stuff oriented class.
Siren is crowd control/elemental/healslut. Her elemental damage is pretty nice, but her other two trees are generally better. Though you might like speccing into "Wreck", which adds something like 200% fire rate when phaselocking, and she has some good movement speed and reflection skills that can keep fight interesting.
Zero is headshots or melee. His middle tree is nice, but is better used to supplement one of the other two. Even still, that tree is based on his hologram.
Psycho is pretty boss. But melee is where his bread and butter is for the most part. Tons of damage.
Death trap chick is pretty fucking weird. She's either boring as fuck or ridiculous. Speccing her into Anarchy makes for some pretty fun gameplay. Just don't aim at anything down the ironsights. You'll probably miss if you try too hard.

No, you don't. You really don't. The game becomes incredibly tedious and boring at the higher levels, as the enemies become ridiculous bullet sponges. This game has some of the worst level scaling I've ever seen outside of the grindiest Korean MMOs.

If you max out the character, Siren is my favorite. I had her at something like 250% fire rate when phaselocking, 100% damage reduction and 100% chance to reflect bullets to attackers after a kill, +90% movespeed when sheilds are down, on top of like 60% bonus shields and 30% reduced recharge delay. Those +6 point class mods make her pretty fucking insane.

Mechromancer specced into Anarchy if you want balls to wall fast gameplay. Many of the enemies in game are annoyingly bullet-spongy, and she pretty much removes that.

I would play the healslut, even though it's solo, if only that skill at least was for just one target, but the fact that it fucks up everything on the screen is just plain retarded. There's really no issue with using it every time it's up, and you don't always need to. Her melee override in the middle tree is a giant slag ball of death, which can be used in tandem or alternatively to her phaselock.
Also, my siren has her skill cooldown at about 4 or 5 seconds, so I kinda just use it whenever I want to. I'm not forced to spam it. I just do because it's great.

Dude.. pre sequel is fucking trash. I have no idea why, honestly. I feel like it's because jumping around I'm low-gravity slows everything down.. you get to see how shallow of a game the whole thing is when your screen isn't all numbers and elemental effects.
Also, the only one I liked was Athena. Hammerlock looked cool as fuck, but I played her and it felt empty. Like.. I thought it was all micro management kinda deal where I would have to pay attention to stuff, but it's basically "is your minion dead? No? Keep shooting stuff I guess"

If you want non-stop ability spam, that's your man. If you activate your ability at 33% it will refresh.
Also, sometimes, you do hear the voice from the trailer in game, that was kinda fun for me and made the playthrough less boring.

Maya becomes a glass canon at the higher levels, particularly SMGS. While you spam her ability a lot, it's normally because it slags the target and enemies around the target. Slag becomes vital in ultimate vault hunter mode, so having an option that you don't need a gun or grenade for is nice.
