>The Smash Direct will be this week, 5th or 6th to be exact. It'll be very similar in structure to the one back in June before E3
>It'll start off with a trailer for Wolf. They decided to bring Wolf back at the same time as Lucas, but chose to hold off for a few reasons. One of these reasons was being released around the time Star Fox Zero but due to the games delay they dropped that idea in favor of just releasing him now. Another thing is updating his model instead of being based on Command like Fox and Falco he will be based on his look from Star Fox Zero, which is just an updated version of his 64 appearance. He does however retain his Assault/Command look as an alt costume. His newer design is his default
>Later in the Direct they talk about new modes being available as a free update, the first being an offline tournament mode. Another is an Adventure mode similar to Melee. There will be "cut scenes" but again like Melee, so nothing amazing to watch. The 3DS Adventure mode is short like Melee taking about 15-20 minutes to beat, while the WiiUs is much longer taking about an hour. Beating adventure mode with a character unlocks it's custom moves
>Speaking of custom moves the DLC characters will get them, the first 4 will get there's with in this update but the 3 new Characters will get theirs in a later update
>There are 3 stages coming to SSB4 and all represent a character from this update. They are: Midgar (bundled with Cloud), Venom returning from Melee, and the 3rd one is bundled with the last Newcomer (this stage is shown off in his trailer)
>It "ends" with Sakurai saying this is the last Smash Bros. Direct, but not the end of DLC and that we can expect to hear more in the future.
And that leaves us with the final trailer for a newcomer. I don't want to say who it is but this character is a first party Nintendo character who received a lot of support in the ballot.

It would make more sense to release a trailer showcasing Wolf or the nintendo character (most likely an inkling, Wonder Red, or K. Rool or some shit) than to release a trailer showing a bombshell announcement in the last Nintendo Direct.
