From personal experience though, I've never had an issue, and I've used smaller drives and transferred data between different flash drives using the internal storage as a hub. I suppose that could be an issue, but considering I've only ever had data on unconnected flash drives for maybe a day max, I suppose its possible. If I were you I'd just look for a bigger one.
