Here's a protip for you guys who bought the steam version and it crashes on startup turn off frame skip and grass, it should work then. Also, if your character gets stuck after combat and shit toggle v-sync

Nexus has only 50 mods. There used to be a filefront site with a ton of Kotor 1 and 2 mods but that's down now.
Luckily gamefront still has a bunch of the old mods that were on filefront but you have to look at the mods without images and it's not organized at all.

Okay, but it's objectively bad game mechanics when the entire game is built around being a Jedi.
Even KOTOR 2 does a better job of letting you be a "normal" dude as the melee and blaster perks are MUCH better, and they have an entire unarmed fighter tree for your protag and Handmaiden. In KOTOR 1 if you're not playing full Jedi you're gonna have a bad time and your non Jedi partners are useless.
In other games I can enjoy playing different classes, but in both KOTORs its always dual wield flurry force lightning easymode for me. Bleh

Brah, KotOR is piss fucking easy anyway. I leveld normally through all of Taris and put like 7-8 levels into my Soldier before becoming a Jedi. So I only had like 12 levels for Jedi, and it still was easy as all fuck.

Kotor 1 is piss easy even as a Scoundrel brah once you know the right feats to pick. Hell Scoundrel/Jedi Knight is one of the best class options just for sheer defense (by level 6 Scoundrels get an automatic + 4 defense so when promoting to Jedi and then getting another 12 levels they get something absurd like +10 armor) and opening attack abilities via the combined feats of Sneak Attack IV with Force Jump.
Scout is basically the best class cause it gives you the feats you need to get right out the gate in addition to having a decent number of feats in the first 8 levels to unlock. It's actually better than the Soldier for number of feats you get in the first 8 levels cause you don't have to actually learn Flurry or Implants cause of getting them automatically. Also you get mad skill checks and good all around durability and can basically pick any class you want after becoming a Jedi.
Soldier is second best just cause of optimal HP and easier early game and Power Strike not being a bad skill although Flurry is way better at max level.
Jedi have terrible feat progression for the most part so Revan is actually the strongest character precisely cause of those early game classes since it allows him/her to focus entirely on getting everything he needs before becoming a Jedi (whilst your teammates will take some time to catch up on certain feats cause of the much slower feat progression on pure Jedi classes). Granted his force power usage will be limited in number unless he goes Consular but he makes up for it by getting the free 40 points and being an all out demon in combat. Frankly Revan should always just go Neutral and Lightside Jedi buffs (speed, aura, valor, healing) anyway with a side of Destroy Droid and Force Persuasion/Mind Control.
