DigiTimes which has been a good source of news in the past has stated that Nintendo’s next platform, which is titled NX, will enter mass production at the end of the first quarter next year. The publication also reports that the supply chain expects the Nintendo NX to achieve 10-12 million unit shipments in 2016. DigiTimes also says that Nintendo is targeting to ship 20 million units in 2016.
The new console is estimated to enter mass shipments in the second quarter. In addition to Foxconn, suppliers such as Foxconn Technology, Macronix, Pixart Imaging, Coxon Precise Industrial, Nishoku Technology, Delta Technology, Lingsen Precision Industries and Jentech will also supply components for the device.
