Final Generation before everything gets ruined, extremely simple to use consoles, great creative ideas in games. Cheap development costs allowing for ease of expression. Nice balance between Japan and Western.

I would love to see several 2D sprite games being co-developed for the SNES and PS1 hardware. Some amazing things were learned about that medium between 1994 and 1997 and the games that came out were all gorgeous, and in the case of the end-life SNES games, much larger and more complex than anyone thought was possible in 1990. Then there were the 2D sprite games on the PS1 that benefited from FMV cinematics. Star Ocean Second Story and the remakes of the Lunar games were some of best moments of my adolescence.
