What games are good with a driving wheel?
>>
>>318376591
Guitar Hero.
>>
>>318376591
Forza/Gran Turismo and up (on the realism scale I mean).
>>
>>318376591

Team Fortress 2.
>>
>>318375376
DFGT
Saitek Cyborg Evo
Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant
Freetrack
PS2 pad which I use for emulators.
Thats about it.
>>
No games worth using Driving on these days so I didnt use mine since forever
>>
>>318377105
Forza 6
Assetto Corsa
rFactor 2
DiRT Rally
iRacing

All of these are good though. P.Cars is fine if you're a graphics whore.
>>
>>318376591
On PC its pretty much every major race sim.
Even spintires in third person handle much better with a wheel and cars behave much more realistic manner.

The best are Assetto Corsa, LFS (dead peace of shit but nice as a tech demo demonstrating physical engine) RBR is fucking awesome, the game looks fucking shit and cockpit view is so bad its the first game I use bumper cam but the car behave so fucking good its a pleasure to drive (if only I could drive this shit and not crash).
>>
for some reason I came in this thread expecting some anon to post a dildo with a usb cord
>>

>Have you ever projected so hard you was convinced you are on imageboard and every person you chat with is just a dildo behind the monitor?
This anon did.
>>
Xbox 360 controller, it's perfect for Trackmania, the only game I use it for.
>>
360 Pad.
Shitek X-55 Rhino HOTAS
Logitech Attack 3 Joystick
>>
>>318377679
Has your X-55 had issues yet, like literally every Saitek/Madcatz product I've owned?
>>
>>318378215
Surprisingly no.
Aside from the occasional driver freak out it's been behaving quite nicely.

I've even gotten used to the horrible hat layout and low quality feel.
>>
Does a steering wheel work well with GTA5?
>>
thrustmaster warthog HOTAS
and a wheel with pedals
third party ps3 controller
>>
>>318376591
the crew is pretty fun just to muck around on in an open world with your friends. New graphics came out recently too.
>>
>>318378913
Wheels are just a hindrance with arcade games, which are designed for gamepads and ASWD

Uhm...
Why do you have a wheel for your flight pedals?
Where's the car pedals for that playstation wheel?
>>
>>318380039
>tfw I use my DFGT pedals as rudders, the wheel itself as a trim, joy for controlling the plane and quadrant for mixture/power/prop angle control.
When I connected it all I am pretty sure that was the reason my PSU exploded instantly.
>>
>>318376591
Euro Truck Simulator 2.
>>
>>318380245
>thought about using a setup like that
>just got a wireless keyboard instead and do everything I can't map to my HOTAS to that
>>
>>318380323
This.
Get the online mod and comfy truck it up with 2k other people.
Avoid the Chinks though

Daytona fucking USA
Outrun 2: Coast to Coast
Test Drive: Unlimited
Euro Truck Simulator 2
>>
>>318381595
>Outrun 2: Coast to Coast
The game is fine but considering amount of drift in it, I doubt you can play it with a wheel normally (I know its arcade with a wheel) but gas control is so unimportant and countersteering is so brutal that he better off playing it with a pad.
>>
>>318382343
I disagree, It's near impossible to get good times without memorizing the correct line of each corner in the courses (this includes controlling the drift), and having analog brakes really helps with that.
Also, many corners can actually be taken without drifting, but that's very hard to do so without a wheel. It's definitely not as technical as Daytona USA, but it's still not a pick up and play game.
>>
>>318383093
I played it with PS2 controller on PC and I remember only one place when I actually had to brake (casino town sharp corner), although I think you can still go trough with drift.
Apart from that, it was just a matter of coutnersteering, I was experimenting with analog throttle control (keep drift angle shallow) hoping it would increase my times but it was slower than just keeping full throttle and countersteering to the max.
>>
>>318383491
Counter steering will fuck you coming out of corners though, and debating if its good or bad on the snake turns.
Also there's no way you can use the outrun Enzo without a wheel.
Plus its just a better experience honestly
>>
>>318383759
>Counter steering will fuck you coming out of corners though
Usually its not a problem.

>snake turns.
Drift countersteer and release throttle, can hit slightly brakes.
Get launched in opposite direction where you repeat the process.
One thing I have to say, OR2 amazingly explained concept of countersteering and when you need to straighten the wheels.
People who have issues drifting in games I usually send to try OR2.

> Enzo without a wheel
Did and havent noticed any issues whatsoever, sometimes the drifts are too wide so I use throttle and brakes to slow it down and keep in line at the same time..
>>
>>318384183
I love OR2. Have you tried it with a wheel at all though? It's a completely different experience.
>>
>>318385545
I might try it, since it was made for arcade with wheel I guess it might work well.
>>
Logitech G27
Microsoft 360 wired
Thrustmaster HOTAS-X
Steel battalion
I also got oculus rift DK2 in term of general periphery.
>>
>>318376591
Dirt Rally
>>
>>318381595
>Test Drive: Unlimited
Unless your wheel is g27 in which case feedback doesn't work at all.
