Season 1 is so different from the rest of the series. They were so serious back then, and they were so careful to make use of their then meager budget.

the closest is deadly premonition and as novel as the game is it's a fucking mess.
I don't really like telltale games but I couldn't think of a better way to do a x-files esque game. I'd bet they could do a could job if they weren't too busy with ebin meme games based on fucking minecraft and borderlands

The mythology shit was really good early on but towards the end they started retconning shit left and right and making it less and less about aliens, even completely dropping plot lines brought up earlier.
Hopefully with these 6 new episodes (though only 3 of them are mythology episodes) they go back to the alien stuff and drop the walk in ghost garbage, which I think should just be completely retconned out.

It's never really brought up again explicitly but there's a later episode (middle of season 6) that basically confirms it and one of the writers even said that it's true. It's not really ever important in the show though which is why I hope it's explicitly brought up in the new episodes.

These are spoilers for that seasons 6 episode so that guy that's on 3 don't open thisWhen Scully asks the immortal guy in that episode how he was immortal he said he was dying of some disease but then when death came for him he refused to look so it took the nurse watching him instead. This is exactly what happens with Scully. They're both shot and Scully's dying so he tells her not to look at death and she doesn't and it takes him. What other way are you talking about?
