I feel like most people that say this try to play their N64 games on emulators or through A/V cables and a HDTV.
I have a XRGB mini and play through S-Video and lemme tell ya, the games look fine. Foreign games I play through an Everdrive 64.

Ruin Yoshi by using its sound effects for every game afterward.
It tried to do "choose your own adventure", but that means in order to play all 24 levels on the game, you have to replay the story mode at least 6 times.
The game is mostly too easy, except if you want to play trial mode and go for highest score, then it becomes incredibly difficulty (any fruit that isn't a melon = poison).
It's got really good production values, I like the controls, the aesthetics and detail put into it, the game has a lot of character, but the design is too weird for its own good.

The problems you mention would be present, but at least people wouldn't have to beat the game 6 times to see all the levels. That is pretty significant in my opinion.

They look fantastic using my XRGB mini, and on the HDTV I have, I have like 5ms of lag if that. It's pretty nice.
But I won't deny that its not the same as a RGB monitor or a tube. I just don't have the space for a tube anymore and my RGB monitor died earlier this year.

That's why i hate this game, they just shit in the mouth of fan, and some of them enjoy it.
Yoshi island contained at least 54 levels and some of them can be difficult, it's just the only good Yoshi's game in the serie... (i didn't tried the one on Wii U but i expect it to be casualized as hell).

Yoshi's Wooly World is probably the best Yoshi game bar Yoshi's Island, anon. Try it sometime.

Games with a "unique" art style generally age well. A lot of the Mario games have aged like fine wine just due to the simple textures being colorful, fun, and good at the time.Super Mario 3 has probably aged the worst imo and SMW being one of the better
Playing the tony hawk games on N64 now are pretty rough visually. The music and gameplay was great though.

One of my favorite games is Metal Gear Solid. The game has atmosphere that is truly unique.
The character models look like absolute shit, though and is "aged" in that aspect. To say the entire game has "aged' as a result of one aspect of it is ridiculous though. At least in my opinion.
SMB3 looks good to me though. I just love the sprite look, and it looks better than SMB1 to me. It doesn't necessarily play better, but its a top of the genre game.

Instant death mechanics are trash. In a puzzle game, all you're doing is punishing methodical play. You ought to play something like Call of Duty instead , I'm sure it has more action and probably better survival horror too
