1 and 2 were great

The music was godly, the voice acting was bad in a good way (spoofing horror movies), and the gameplay was fun. Sega was on top of their game back then.

Yeah, HoTD3 was on Xbox and HoTD2 was an unlockable. It was pretty dope how it was done too. I remember that this game was also the first time I'd ever had a pleasant experience with a MadCatz peripheral since they made a lightgun for the Xbox that wasn't a piece of shit.

There is no five but if i remember sega gave an interview that if they made a five they would want it to wrap up the story. Also there is HotD4 special edition on the ps3 that had some extra stages that add some story to the series.

Typing of the dead exists. Also, light gun games are not dead. They are just in places like dave and busters and such. They still make new games. Jurassic Park got a new game for the new movie recently. Time Crisis has a new one that uses unreal engine even

The original was better. 2's guns always felt slow to me.
Original HotD is probably the greatest lightgun shooter ever made. I mean it's really some peerless shit, every single thing about it was perfect. I used to play it every single day on my way home from school. I would save my cookie dollar from lunch and instead play House of the Dead.
By the time I finally stopped I could beat it left or right handed on one dollar.
